Welcome to the Spatial Information eXchange
The Spatial Information eXchange (SIX) is a collaborative working space established by the NSW Department of Lands (Lands) for use by government, business and the community.
The SIX Gateway provides a single entry point through which to search, access and utilise the wealth of geospatial services and data managed by Lands, in many cases free of charge. It also provides opportunities for users to contribute to this state-wide resource.
As the official source of NSW’s geospatial information, Lands possesses the most comprehensive, accurate and reliable spatial data for the State and we currently service the needs of many sectors within the spatial data community.
The SIX Gateway contains a wide range of property and topographic features as well as cadastral (land tenure) and address information that can be searched against.
Key spatial datasets we hold include:
- Cadastre.
- Land Titles.
- Street Addresses.
- Current and Historic Topographic Maps.
- Satellite Imagery.
- Current and Historic Aerial Photography.
Once authenticated with their account details, professionals and government users obtain access to their own profiled environment and functionality.
SIX reflects our commitment to the connect.nsw direction of the New South Wales government aiming to:
- Improve access to government information and services.
- Integrate delivery of government services.
- Align government services to customer needs.
- Improve the choice for the delivery of government services.
- Increase the development of business and the community for the betterment of NSW.
The SIX Gateway aims to vastly improve our service delivery to our customers and foster a cooperative approach towards geospatial information in NSW that will deliver significant mutual benefits to all involved.
